At Cultiv8 Academy we understand the importance of being able to compete at your best when it matters. TREATING THE MIND AS A MUSCLE
Whilst most athletes are aware that physical fitness is key to peak performance many do not fully understand how a trained mind can positively influence performance. At Cultiv8 Academy we use high-performance coaching techniques and sport psychology support to optimise performance. We encourage our athletes to treat the mind as though it was a muscle. Situations are created to ‘stretch’ and ‘strengthen’ the mind, helping athletes to develop a stronger and more positive mind-body connection.

At Cultiv8 Academy we work with athletes to develop their mental strength alongside their technical, tactical, and physical programmes. By exploring reactions and responses that occur in pressure situations we help athletes to become aware of thought processes, emotional control strategies, and behavioural outcomes. We also help to uncover values, belief systems, and mental obstacles that can interfere with and limit performance.
MASTER THE MENTAL GAME
At Cultiv8 Academy we work with athletes to master the psychological side of performance. We teach athletes how to: focus on process over outcome, deal with distractions, manage mistakes, monitor controllable aspects of their performance. We work with athletes to develop trust in their skills and to have the confidence and composure to perform and succeed when under pressure. Our support focuses on developing skills to manage nerves, anxiety, and expectations in positive and productive ways. The enhancement of effective communication skills is at the heart of our development programmes.
